Ceramic membrane plates and diaphragms, also known as flat ceramic membranes, are a type of ceramic membrane made from inorganic ceramic materials through a special process to form an asymmetric membrane. The surface of the flat ceramic membrane plate is densely covered with micropores. Depending on the molecular diameter of the permeating substances within a certain membrane pore size range, the permeability varies. Driven by the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane, the membrane acts as a filtration medium. Under a certain pressure, when the feed liquid flows over the membrane surface, only water, inorganic salts, and small molecules are allowed to pass through the membrane, while suspended solids, colloids, and microorganisms with large molecules in the water are blocked.
