Lightweight ceramic pellets made by adding excellent clay as a pore-forming agent to expanded clay, sintered at high temperature. They are reddish-brown, with developed micropores, large specific surface area, high porosity, strong pollutant interception ability, and easy film attachment. Suitable for biochemical, oil removal, iron removal, manganese removal, and filtration treatment of industrial wastewater from metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industries, and urban sewage. It is a conventional biochemical filter material. Used as a bio-carrier in the BAF process for phosphorus and nitrogen removal.
