Corundum balls, also known as alumina corundum ceramic balls, are mainly composed of alumina (Al2O3). They have the advantages of high alumina content, low lattice defects, high temperature resistance, excellent thermal shock resistance, high mechanical strength, oxidation resistance, slag erosion resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and long service life. Because the product has a low SiO2 content, it avoids adverse reactions with fluorine-containing compounds in high-temperature gases that form volatile silicon compounds. This solves the adverse factors affecting process operation and product quality caused by SiO2 reacting with nitrogen-containing compounds in the second-stage converter of ammonia synthesis. The product can be widely used under special conditions of high temperature, high pressure, high corrosion, and strong impact.
