Silicon Carbide Ceramic Filter Membrane

Silicon carbide ceramic membranes are a type of inorganic membrane and belong to solid membrane materials in membrane separation technology. Silicon carbide ceramic membranes are sintered at temperatures above 2000°C, with smooth and rounded particle surfaces. The support layer and each layer contain no closed pores or channels. They usually consist of a three-layer structure with different pore sizes (porous support layer, transition layer, and separation layer), arranged asymmetrically. The pore size specifications include 0.04μm, 0.1μm, 0.5μm, 1μm, and 3μm.

  • Product Introduction

Silicon carbide ceramic membrane is a type of inorganic membrane, belonging to solid membrane materials in membrane separation technology. It is sintered at high temperatures above 2000℃, with smooth and rounded particle surfaces, no closed pores or channels in the support layer and each layer, usually composed of a three-layer structure with different pore sizes (porous support layer, transition layer, and separation layer), asymmetrically distributed, with pore sizes of 0.04μm, 0.1μm, 0.5μm, 1μm, and 3μm.

    Product Performance Features

Chemical stability, does not react with chemical reagents: solid-liquid separation under strong acid, strong alkali, and strong corrosive conditions, can be cleaned with organic solvents, easy to clean, and easy to restore the initial membrane flux.

Good thermal stability, resistant to thermal shock: stable operation under high temperature conditions.

High open porosity and high flux: compared with conventional tubular membranes under the same conditions, high equipment integration, small footprint, low energy consumption, and low investment.

High membrane bonding strength, good wear resistance: service life up to more than 10 years.

Hydrophilic and oleophobic: excellent oil-water separation effect, when the membrane effluent water quality meets the standard requirements, the flux can reach 300L/㎡*h.

    Application Fields

As a new generation filtration technology, silicon carbide ceramic membranes are widely used in chemical industry for purification and recovery under strong acid and strong alkali conditions, chlor-alkali chemical brine refining, petroleum chemical industry, catalyst recovery and oil-water separation in coal chemical industry; purification and recovery of mechanical processing cutting fluids; biopharmaceutical antibiotics, enzyme preparations, pharmaceutical intermediates, amino acids, organic acids, vitamins, and purification of traditional Chinese medicine, etc.
