Activated Carbon
Activated carbon is a black porous solid carbon material produced from coal through crushing, molding, or carbonization and activation of uniform coal particles. Its main component is carbon, and it contains small amounts of oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, nitrogen, chlorine, and other elements. The specific surface area of ordinary activated carbon ranges from 500 to 1700 m²/g. It has strong adsorption properties and is a widely used industrial adsorbent.

Applicability of columnar activated carbon: 1. Gas phase adsorption; 2. Organic solvent recovery; 3. Removal of impurities and harmful gases, waste gas recovery; 4. Excess gasoline recovery in refineries, gas stations, and oil depots; 5. Used in activated carbon catalyzed uniform tetraamine dehydrochlorination to prepare trichloroethylene.
