Expanded clay filter media

Porcelain granule filter media is a white spherical particle made primarily from porcelain clay, with added rare earth materials, processed through pulverization, pelletizing, screening, drying, and high-temperature sintering. It features stable chemical properties, wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, large specific surface area, strong pollutant interception ability, good adsorption performance, uniform particles, and long service life. It is an ideal filter media for treating municipal sewage, boiler chemical water, and pure water. It can also be used in filter dust collectors, for handling various industrial dusts, boiler dust, and as a fracturing proppant in oilfield wells.

    Product Introduction

    Expanded Clay Lightweight ceramic particles made by adding excellent clay pore-forming agents and sintering at high temperatures, reddish-brown in color, featuring developed micropores, large specific surface area, high porosity, strong pollutant interception ability, and easy film attachment. Suitable for biochemical, oil removal, iron removal, manganese removal, and filtration treatment of industrial wastewater from metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industries, and municipal sewage. It is a conventional biochemical filter media. Used as a bio-carrier in the BAF process for phosphorus removal and nitrogen removal.

    Product Features

    1 The surface of the expanded clay filter media is rich in micropores, has a large specific surface area, is easy to attach biofilm, and supports a large biomass, showing good removal effect on NH3-N COD with strong pollutant interception ability and high treated water quality. ;

    2 The pore distribution of the expanded clay filter media layer is uniform, with surface pore sizes suitable for microbial growth in mesopores and macropores, overcoming issues of high head loss, clogging, and compaction caused by uneven pore distribution in the filter media layer. ;

    3 The expanded clay filter media has moderate density and uniform specific gravity, requires short backwash time, has a long service life, low energy consumption, overcoming defects of difficult control and easy media loss, saving electricity and labor. ;

    4 The expanded clay filter media uses excellent particle size gradation, has strong pollutant capacity, efficient media utilization, and slow increase in head loss. Under the same conditions, the filtration rate can reach 16m/h, working cycle 24h or more, with a cycle water production reaching 800-1000m3/m2 which is 1.5-2 times ;

    5 The expanded clay filter media contains no substances harmful to humans or the environment, has high mechanical strength, impact resistance, good biological, chemical, and thermodynamic stability.
